Have Faith and Believe
Life with Jesus begins by believing in Him and asking Him into your heart. Such an “asking” is often called “The Sinners Prayer” or “The Prayer of Salvation”. The Bible reveals no specific prayer for that purpose.
Jesus tells us to “Ask and You Will Receive”. John 16:24
“As I read The Bible, Jesus sets me free from false teachings, enslaving thoughts, and limiting ideas. With Jesus, the possibilities go far beyond what I can imagine.” Marlene Legaspi-Munar, Mornings With Jesus, 8/18/20
While my previous message of 8/20 was posting, I was watching a Billy Graham event from 1993. He gave me another prayer to pass on to you!
“Lord, I have sinned. I am sorry for my sins. I am willing to change my way of life. I come by faith. I don’t understand it all, but by faith I receive You as my Lord, my Master, my Savior.”
Later the same day, I watched my recording of Jentezen Franklin from Sunday 8/16. He spoke another prayer for us.
“Lord Jesus, I thank You for the Cross, the Blood that You shed. You carried and nailed my sins to that old rugged cross. Today I receive You, Lord Jesus, as my Savior, my Healer, my Deliverer, my Eternal God. I receive the salvation that You bought for me with Your own Blood. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.”
The next day, Aug 21, Joyce Meyer concluded her 5:00 am program on WHT with this prayer of Salvation:
“Father God, I believe in You. Jesus, I believe in You. Holy Spirit, I believe in You. I know that I’m a sinner and I’m sorry for the way I’ve lived. Please forgive me. I repent of my sins. I want to turn away from the life I’ve been living, and live for You. I want to be a follower of Christ. I surrender my life to you right now, and I receive You, Jesus, as my Lord and my Savior. Now I believe You love me. I believe my sins are forgiven. I’m on my way to Heaven, and I want to enjoy the journey. So take me just the way I am and make me all that You want me to be. Amen.”
JESUS REQUIRED FEWER WORDS WITH…
Thief on the Cross: Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:42-43
Blind Bartemaeus “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him.The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.”“Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.” Mark 10:51-52
I encourage you, Grannies, help your young people to ask Jesus into their hearts, their lives. You can use various phrases depending on the age and experience of your young person. It can be an exciting adventure for each of them, and for you! Faith nurtures the seed!
