It’s too much, LORD!!  Too much garden! Too much church bookkeeper! Too much Toastmasters! I thought YOU planned for me to be free – less time to “do” – more time with YOU!

Oh no! My garden is overrun with grass – my delay resulted in a lawn with vegetables!!

Oh no! We have a new Church bookkeeper, but she needs my time for orientation! I thought YOU gave me June 30 to close my church computer!!

Now my Toastmaster Club needs a lead Officer with knowledge of our software! All three eligible officers are newbies without know-how!  Oh no! It’s time to train my Toastmasters!!

Wait a Minute LORD!  I need Guidance — YOUR Connections!!

Thomas the Big Guy (spouse)  suggested hedge clippers for the garden.  It’s a slow process, but it’s working!

The new bookkeeper agreed to train via ZOOM. We should be able to make it quick and infrequent – she’s knowledgeable and sharp!!

My Toastmaster Mentor shared the best method to educate and guide all three newbie officers.  As I read between the lines of her email, she reminded me how she handled a similar situation.  Therefore, I should simply sign on to success — “step up and step out”!!

LORD! Wait a Minute!   I now have THREE BIG PROJECTS – PLUS ALL MY OTHER STUFF!!

I’m feeling totally helpless, totally overwhelmed, totally frustrated!!

This morning, just as I felt totally “dumped on” – totally “out of control” – I sat down for my time with YOU, and YOU spoke to me through Mornings With Jesus for July 17, written by Heidi Gaul.

It’s a delightful story about ordering fish at a cafe in Mexico.  YOU, LORD, took her from “no fish”, to a lunch “better than anything [she] could have imagined”.  Heidi writes:

“He seasons my dreams and goals, switching them up to meet His standards. When I serve others according to His will…I feel fulfilled, nourished from the inside out…JESUS knows what’s best for me.  I only need to trust in whatever He cooks up for me!”

JESUS, YOU’RE a great cook – the Ultimate Seasoner of Life!!  How my attitude, my peace, and my spirit changed with those few words! Thank you, Heidi!!

Oh, that I could enlighten you, Grannies, as Heidi enlightened me – choosing just the right words — upon guidance from our LORD.

She concludes, “…ask Jesus to lead you to exciting new opportunities to serve Him”.     As it turns out, I didn’t have to ask this time.  You never know when HIS timing says “No Waiting”!

“JESUS was simply waiting for the perfect moment when He could intercede most effectively.”    (Streams in the Desert Devotional, July 17)

My Father will honor the one who serves Me. John 12:26

THANK YOU, LORD!!
