But Wait, There’s More! Everyone knows that EVERY day is a NEW day. No two of them are the same! My FAITH “seals the deal” for me! My FAITH makes EVERY day SPECIAL for me! And I want MORE! EVERY DAY is a NEW DAY when you spend time with The Lord. We have myriad methods of making a connection with The Word. On any device that connects to the internet there are a gazillion  sources. Log on and get “A Piece of The Rock”! (Grey Grannies remember the Prudential commercial.) But now Jesus is my Rock!  I want Him MORE! For The Word, there are old-fashioned print versions – paper!! Then there is the OLD, OLD fashioned way…Prayer!! It’s intimate – just you and The Lord. You don’t even have to plug in or turn on anything to pray!  Just keep breathing and GO FOR IT!! Why am I

Heads Up! Look to HIM! America is in 2020 Summer Turmoil!  Every day there is an explosion of violence and anger.  Someone did something unthinkable in an emotional moment and the wrath of others is ignited.  Innocent victims fall in the path of the raging storm. STOP IT!  JUST STOP IT!! BUT HOW? We must seek The Cure!  Jesus The Christ is The Answer, The Way, The Truth, The Life!!  (John 14:6) There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:28 IN CHRIST we are not black or white, upper class, lower class. IN CHRIST we all are children of the Most High God!! In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory

Bubbles In My Belly When we ate dinner with Grandma Chloe, she liked us to sing The Doxology.  Praise God from Whom all blessings flow.  Praise Him, all creatures here below. Praise Him above, ye Heavenly Host.  Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen. But Grandma!  How can a ghost be Holy? Then Grandma would explain how Jesus gave us the Holy Ghost when he went to Heaven.  The Holy Ghost is a good ghost Who helps us through our day.  That’s why we Baptize babies.  I still couldn’t figure out why we talk to Jesus, if it’s the Holy Ghost Who is with us.  But, Grandma made it sound just right. Now?  Holy Spirit is my friend, my comforter, my guide.  Just when I think, “Oh, I know Jesus”, Holy Spirit says, “But Wait! There’s More!!”  Then He takes me to a different level in my walk with God.

A Second Second Chance I am a Child of God, I live in the Joy of Jesus, and Holy Spirit is my Healer! The day before the procedure, I declared out loud, throughout the day…”I am a Child of God, I live in the JOY of JESUS, Holy Spirit is my Healer!“ The procedure was at 8 AM.

Grannie Time With God Do you have daily morning time with God? When I was working (I retired in 2013) I thought, “I don’t have time for God before work!” Bible teachers/pastors continued to tell of the blessings of “Quiet Time With Him”. Okay, I’ll try.  I started by getting up half an hour earlier and sitting with coffee and my little devotional. I LIKED that! It started my day with a closeness to God. Gradually I searched out new devotional authors. I spent more time in the morning, which meant setting the alarm for 5:00 so I could have a full hour with Him. By the time I retired, I couldn’t wait to have an “open-ended meeting” with Him each day. (He always gives us as much as we want.) Selah – Pause and think about that…the following is an excerpt from “Streams Devotional” that made me “stop to consider” our current (April 2020) situation. After reading the story about the widow and Elisha from 2 Kings, I re-read this text.  It speaks deeply to me.  I pray that it blesses you, also. Go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons.  2 Kings 4:4 (NIV) (The widow and the jars of olive oil with Elisha) “This is an ingredient in God’s plan of dealing with us.  We are to enter a secret chamber of isolation in prayer and faith that is very fruitful.  At certain times and places, God will build a mysterious wall around us.  He will take away all the supports we customarily lean upon, and will remove our ordinary ways of doing things.  God will close us off to something divine, completely new and
